The economic recession is hard for everyone, although women in the business world do seem to be struggling more in certain ways. In other ways, possibly, they are actually doing better. What's seen behind this is the way that women look at issues when compared to the way men handle this. As a generalization women make 'spare' money. However that's not always true, especially as times change, but men have trouble letting go of that, and when they have trouble during a recession they can take it very hard. This is even more true if the husband has lost his job and the wife is still working, because it can make the man feel inferior.
Not a lot of women have that concern or feel that way, because they haven't been programmed by society to think that. They handle the recession better because they know that they are more than just their job.
sisters. The work that they engage in doesn't define them.
It's still very important that these women make money though, and that can be a very hard thing to do when there's a recession going on.
There are things that women are doing to survive in this economy and one of these is taking their business online by closing their physical stores. It gets rid of a lot of their operating expenses, and that can make a big difference. Working online can also let women work from home, and that gives priority to their families too. It gives them a chance to be better wives and parents as well as to be good businesswomen. For some women-owned businesses, the recession isn't a concern. Those who write and edit generally still have plenty of work, and any woman with a unique business can succeed because these things are wanted. They aren't easily replaceable, and that keeps them popular. The women who have these businesses are capable of keeping people interested, and that helps them avoid the pitfalls of recession.
